Welcome to Asian Tribal Ministries
Reaching the unreached
Beginning in 1986 with the Discipleship Training School in Doisaket,Thailand, Pastors Timothy and Rebecca Laklem have since seen the Lord expand the vision and ministry of ATM to also reach out to the Karen and Burmese along the border of Thailand and Burma, bringing the Gospel to them and also providing people with basic living needs and the building of schools and supporting of local churches and orphanages in those areas.
1. Evangelism
In all of these different aspect of the ministry one main vision remains true and that is to reach out to the lost and broken with the Love and Gospel of Jesus Christ and Discipling them in the Word of God.
Remote/Borders Outreaches
There are still many unreached villages and areas in Thailand and Burma that have yet to hear the Gospel. Most are either Buddhist or Animist and many are greatly affected by witchcraft and demonic influence. Most of these areas we go to are in the northern mountain regions of Thailand or across the border into the jungles of Burma. ATM team regularly outreaches and evangelises alongside with local pastors who then follow-up in teaching the Word and plant churches in these villages.
Firecamp
Fire Camp Thailand is run by Asian Tribal Ministries and it’s aim is to reach young people in thailand and in Burma. We want young people to come to know Jesus and grow in a relationship with him so they can reach their own peers.
Most of the young people who come live in remote villages and children’s homes. They have been through hard times in their lives and are at a stage in their lives where they want more out of life and to know what they are here on Earth for.
Kids Camp
We run a Kids Camp in partnership with Angela, who leads a kids ministry in a Karen Village in Mae Sot. The Camp is run every April for 4 days, and gather children and teenagers from a few Karen villages.
The target of the camp is to explain the Gospel, teach kids in a fun way about Jesus and give them an opportunity to give their lives to Jesus. We gather around 150-180 children every year and just last year we had 50 of them committing their lives to Christ.
2. Discipleship

Bible School. (SIM)
ATM runs SPRINGROCK INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY SCHOOL, a Discipleship and Leadership Training School, that is open throughout the year. Our students mainly come from tribal villages in Thailand or from Ethnic States in Burma. The focus of the DTS is very much practically involving the students in everyday life and ministry on our missions base.
They are taught both in class as well as on the field as we outreach and bring aid to different villages. The DTS not only teaches the Bible but aims to teach practical life and vocational skills that can help our students find their passion and calling and something to be a blessing to others

HOG Rescue
Haven of Grace Mother’s and Babies Shelter provides a safe haven for abandoned and single mothers who are expecting a baby or have small children. Our mission is to provide support so that Mother and Child can stay together, preventing abandonment of children and the exploitation of these single mothers. Haven of Grace not only finds and rescues these women but is focused on seeing each Mother have the opportunity to rebuild and
restore her life and have a fresh start for her and her baby.
Businesses
Autumn runs two Businesses for Haven of Grace, Haven Café and Butter Bee Minimart at the local Hospital. Both shops aim to train, empower and employ mothers and women at risk. The mother’s from Haven of Grace also have the option of making lunch boxes or baking goods to sell at the shops, which also provides personal support money for them while they are in the Shelter with us. Pin, one of our mums, have been through the Heaven of Grace project and now helps Autumn manage the shops. These Businesses have proven to be a good place for training and experience the mothers can take with them once they live our project.
